Sewing Machine Operator Job Details
Schedule: Monday- Friday, 6AM-2:30PM
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Location : Monroe, OH
Sewing Machine Operator Requirements/Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
  
• Must be at least 18 years of age
  
• Prior sewing or textile industry experience preferred (training available)
  
• Ability to use industrial sewing machines (double overcaster, serger, quilter, etc. preferred)
  
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and tickets
  
• Basic math skills including ability to add, subtract, and work with fractions
  
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks
  
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
  
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized workstation
  

About the Sewing Machine Operator Role
As a Sewing Machine Operator, your responsibilities will include:

• Assemble panels and borders per established work instructions
  
• Operate industrial sewing machines using foot and hand controls
  
• Sew borders to panel cloth and produce mattress and box spring covers
  
• Overcast edges of quilter border materials
  
• Read tickets and collect required materials for each job
  
• Sort, fold, and stack covers, borders, and panels as needed
  
• Perform minor machine maintenance such as re-threading and replacing needles
  
• Maintain a clean and orderly workstation at all times
  
• Move materials and carts throughout the production area
  
• Follow all safety and production procedures
  
• Assist with additional production duties as assigned
